What in the world does 74TX mean? To all of our aviation friends out there, that's the designator you need to know when you are planning your next flight our way.
One of the many selling points to our house is that we were able to accommodate all of our toys, the more difficult to accommodate for is the airplane. Nestled away on Fort Clark Springs is this little treasure. There are only about 4 aircraft total that utilize the runway, so it makes for minimum radio communication. Deer and rabbit also frequent the runway, but we have Remy on hand to chase them away!
We get asked all the time, what's it like to own an airplane and live on an airport? To sum it up: AWESOME! The convenience and fun are 2nd to none. It takes us 57 mins to fly from our backyard to San Antonio for the day (otherwise it's a 2 hour drive). For those of you who followed our move to Texas, you will notice the vast differences between the sights while we were driving and the ones from the air...that's also a plus.
So, we wanted to show you our new back yard.

| Clockwise: arial view of the two runways behind the house, a couple of photos of the house and hangar, and us landing |
That white looking building is the hangar aka Yeti's playground. It's really nice to have it detached from the house.
Now you know where to find us, hope you enjoyed the backyard. We definitely expect visitors!

Okay so Richard and I have been reading your blog and were excited when we realized you are only 2 hours away from us!:) so....the next time you guys are in SA (or the next time Richard and I both have a vacation away from school) we would love to see Chris and meet you Maria!
