Limbo: a place or state of oblivion
Ya, guess that describes us right now.
We have one more week until we crawl out of limbo into an actual routine with responsibilities that have consequences if we put them off.
Don't get me wrong, living in temporary housing on base has been awesome...we have a housekeeper who comes everyday to take out our trash, make our bed and change out the towels. We have almost forgotten how to do all of that ourselves! As nice as it is to have someone do all of those things for us, it doesn't replace our own bed and non-Air Force towels. Yeti's drive to work right now is 3.5 mins roundtrip! The grocery store is a hop, skip and a jump away, and a tank of gas seems to last forever finally.
Limbo has given us an opportunity to take a break and actually enjoy things, like this beautiful Texas sunrise.
As painful as it will be to settle into a real routine, it will be nice to be one step closer to settled. Then we will be back to complaining about a 20 min drive to work, the grass growing too fast or the laundry piling up.
