Happy Birthday To The World's Best Dog!

Very well aware of the fact that Remy can't read, today was a big day for him.  Remy turned two.  Yes, we are taking a moment to be "those people" who talk about their dog as if it were a family member, because that's just what Remy is.

It's fascinating how quickly time slips from your grasp and before you know it, your puppy is no longer a puppy, but a full-grown adult dog.

We sat out on the back porch watching our dog do dog things, and couldn't believe that he was already two.  It felt like yesterday that we picked him up from the breeders in Alaska.

Like yesterday that we took him hunting with us for the first time.

He's been on so many adventures with us and is truly our best friend.

When he turned one last year, we were in the initial phases of moving from Alaska to Texas, so we missed out.  To make up for it, we gave him something he has never had...a 3/4 lb, medium rare top sirloin steak.

Yeti cooked it up for him on the grill and Remy was just in awe that he had the potential to get something so delectable.

It took him about 6-9 seconds to devour it!

Eventhough he doesn't understand birthdays, I think it was pretty clear that he understood there was something special going on for him and it was a good deal.

If time passes this quickly with a dog, we can only imagine how quickly it will fly with a kid.  Good thing the camera is always around and we now have a Sony Bloggie to help capture some of those special moments.

All in all regardless of the fact he's an adult, he will always be a puppy to us!

Happy Birthday Puppy, we love you!
