Springing into Summer

There really isn't such a season as Spring in Texas...it's more like super hot or chilly.

Anyhow, things here are going pretty well.  We are well into the 2nd trimester and have started feeling the kid move. Yeti has even been able to finally feel the moving around, which just makes us more excited to find out what we are having.

Let's see, since we last blogged...

Scrap/y went down to Aransas Pass to spend the rest of Spring Break with her family.  The brothers were all home - these days that's a rarity.  While down there, we ordered baby furniture.  Shopping for anything baby, although fun and exciting, has become quite the task.  There are way too many options for everything!

We flew down to Abilene for a night to welcome the newest addition of one of our friends.  While we were there, we took some photos in the bluebonnets.  Yeti didn't even realize that's what they were!  Bluebonnets in our area are hard to find.

The only downside of the trip was the flight home.  It was really hot, turbulent, and Scrap/y made the mistake of having a milkshake with lunch.  All of those factors contributed to a very first for her.  She threw up three times in the plane.  Not only was this the first time she has ever gotten sick in the plane...this marks the first time in the pregnancy too.  Rest assured, we won't be doing THAT again!

April Fool's Day got over-run by our 20 week mark and baby furniture construction...it wasn't until later that week that we realized (1) it was April already and (2) we forgot all about April Fool's Day.  Oh well!

Easter weekend was jam packed!  We started out the weekend finally giving this kid it's own room.  That involved moving beds, rearranging guest rooms, and getting the crib put together.

Baby room in the making
We still have a ways to go with the room, but until we find out whether we are going pink or blue, this is about all we were willing to do. During our project some of our friends decided to fly by (literally), so we took a break to watch!

Entertainment like this in your back yard doesn't suck!

After room renovations were complete, we hopped in the plane to fly down to the Cotulla, Texas area for Scrap/y's best friend's (and sorority big sis) engagement party.  It was a phenominal day to fly!  No turbulance, great weather and no milkshakes were consumed!

Cindy and Rick...Congratulations again!

For Easter, Yeti fired up the grill and we had a few friends over.  It was really nice to sit back, relax and spend time with friends.  Oh and watching kids Easter egg hunt was the perfect entertainment.  We ended the day with a mini photo session, bump included.  :)

20 Weeks
The next big battle ahead will be the heat and this bump!  But that's for another blog.
