Seems like everytime we get around to updating this blog, so much has already happened! Be warned...this is the mother-of-all updates!
This past month has been pretty busy. Yeti is settling into his job well. He really has a gift for instructing and enjoys the impact he makes on those students, except for when they try to kill him in the middle of a sortie!
The house is still coming together. All of the rooms are good to go, but there are still some pesky boxes that need to change their residence from the garage to where ever they go.
We spent as much time as we could in the plane before the weather got the best of us.
 |
| Can you see Remy!? He loves to fly! |
We also did some formation flying so that Scrap/y could take some photos of our plane, as well as one of our friend's airplanes. That was a fun experience, and that's also how we were able to get the photo above with Remy sitting up! Here are a few of our favorites from the "photo session!"

| Spinner reflection...This was taken at our gas pitstop. |
 |
| Thinking this may be a print on our wall! |
One of the coolest things we have seen so far is
John Wayne's Alamo. He had this built for his Alamo movie. It's called Alamo Village. They open for tours in the summer, so we will plan a trip in the car out that way.
We even got this awesome sunset!
A couple of days before Thanksgiving, we had some feathered visitors on our back fence. It was too bad that we already had the turkey part of our dinner taken care of. Remy salivated like you read about, wanting to run out and chase these imposters on the fence.
 |
| There were about 12 of them! And they were huge! |
Thanksgiving was spent with Scrap/y's family in Aransas Pass, where the chaos of a full house competed with the awesome smells of gourmet cooking coming from the kitchen.
 |
| Home made stuffing |
 |
| The boys did what they do best...play video games! |
 |
| Yeti made pies! (Be jealous Cindy!) |
 |
| Mom did such a great job! |
 |
| Yummy turkey! |
Scrap/y's been keeping busy with her photography business. She's always got something going on! In January, she's going to start teaching piano again, so that will be one more thing for her to juggle.
We spent the weekend getting geared up for Christmas (where did 2011 go!?) At Yeti's work there was a gingerbread house contest, so we tried our hands at making one...from a kit!
It was a fun project to do together! :)

| How we started out |

| Scrap/y happily glueing the peices together. |

| Yeti focused on making sure the alignment was right |
 |
| Not bad, huh!? |
As the weather has started to get colder and wetter (NOTHING compared to Alaska temps!) Remy hasn't been getting as many walks outside...we have been opting for treadmill time for him! It's not as pleasant for us, because he hasn't quite gotten the confidence to just run on his own, so we have to hold (more like just touch) his collar so he will stay on it. He's running at level 7 for 20 mins straight, which is way better than the both of us! We are most certain that a new treadmill belt will be the next thing we have to buy!
We are also starting to trust him a little more on his own. Instead of locking him up in his kennel while we are out, he's been getting to stay in the house unsupervised. So far we trust him for three hours. He's making progress, that dog!
Now to play catch up for Christmas! Just got our cards sent out...still have Christmas presents to get. If it isn't one thing, it's another! :)
